Anushka Sharma's parents include Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is a colonel retd. Anushka's mother is a housewife. Karnesh Sharma is Anushka's younger brother. Karnesh was in the Merchant Navy, and is an entrepreneur in the field of film production. Anushka completed her education at Army School in Bangalore, after which she pursued a bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) at Mount Carmel College. Anushka Sharma has a master of Arts in Economics. Anushka would like to be either a model or journalist rather than an actor. Anushka Sharma moved to Mumbai for the purpose of registering at Elite Model Management and be prepared under the supervision by style advisor Prasad Bidapa. Anushka played Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the film Badmash Company. The movie received mixed reviews. Anushka played a role in a film known as Band Baaja Baraat starring Ranveer, where she played a Punjabi-American girl of middle class, who establishes her wedding planning business. The film was praised by critics and was widely regarded as to be a surprise and a huge success. Anushka has completed her 3-film contract in partnership with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
